The Government is seeking to strengthen its partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on programmes aimed at boosting employment and training for young people.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information is moving to boost provisions to young people under the National Youth Service (NYS) and the Jamaica Values and Attitudes (JAMVAT) programme. Portfolio Minister, Senator the Hon. Ruel Reid, told JIS News that the Ministry will be expanding the capacity of the NYS summer employment programme to enable more students to receive valuable work experience.
